this gun makes things so much quicker and easier... but its still a messy process:machinegunleft:

i will try to take pics while doing the next few pieces, but here is the first door card i did:

How do you clean the flocked surface? Vacuum? Looks good.

Not bad... How about a close-up? That'll be the real test of how nicely it went on...

Are you flocking all the plastic pieces (including trim), or just the door cards/dash?

I am flocking just about everything... Except what I am wrapping in carbon fiber ;) ill get a close up tonight, the real key is getting tons of glue on and really loading it up with flock, let it sit for a few hours and then shake off the excess (into a bag for reuse)

On my first door card it is uneven and has some bare spots, which I haven't decided how to fix: patch or completely redo?

Just vacuum or wipe down from what I understand

I'll chime in here too....I just flocked the old, cracked dash on my e30 using DonJer stuff as well - except I used the mini-flocking kit since I don't have air here.

Overall, pretty pleased with how it came out. A couple pics in case anyone here is interested.

Yeah, I flocked my dash for the rally car using their mini flocker too.

I think the only "secret" is just getting an excessive amount of glue all over the place but it needs to be even. They provided me with a paintbrush and you just quickly slap on the glue with the brush and then flock the thing.

There are other processes that are better like statically charging the material so the fibers stand up instead of laying down but honestly I love my dash and it looks great.

For cleaning.
After flocking just let it sit overnight or as recommended so the fibers get a chance to stick. Then I would just turn it over and shake it then lightly wipe off fibers. you can vacuum the dash later but just be careful to not get too agressive with it or you will scratch off fibers.

The problem with putting glue on a spot that doesn't look good and flocking it again is that you will have fibers/glue/fibers making it look dark and bulky in those areas. I really think you just need to take care to get the glue on there evenly and use a lot of glue.

The directions on their kits tell you everything and how to do it to be honest.

Mine.

It looks good in person, like the pictures Irish posted. ^These are cell phone pictures and I don't have any close ups.
