Stock Tow Hook w/Snow banks.

I was looking at the detachable tow hook today and i must admit i have doubts to its strength.


The reason im looking at this is Chicago is supposed to get another blizzard this winter and i know im going to have to pull my non Subaru friends our of drifts.

Im looking to pull at max a 4000Lb car out of a snow bank.


on that note any tips for using a tow hook?

Called in about the specs on this and it actually under rated and therefore is the product that would be recommended for an Impreza. This actually carries a 5k lbs rating which is the perfect size for our cars. Its about as big as a shoe box so we hope to tuck it under the license plate.
