Intakes, especially on NA Subarus, don't yield noticeable results. Just, noise. Stock intake is really your best bet.

Probably wont notice much in perms of power gains, may smooth out your power band a bit and increase throttle response but im not sure on the stock impreza.

Do you get lots of rain where you are? I dont mess with CAI's cause I like romping in puddles and dont want to hydrolock my car.

don't do it, stock is best for your car. I have a 2010 2.5i also, and I've looked into it and you will end up hurting your car in the long run.

i've tried many and the setup I have is slightly better than stock. Keep the torque box and get a cone filter and adapter that bolts to the MAF/MAP. That will take some of the snork out but lets warm air, and sometimes mud/water, hit the filter. One better is the Apollo, it has a cover and flexible hose to get cold air from wherever you want
