I think I'm gonna enjoy reading and occasionally contributing here. I don't off-road hard or get too dirty mainly because my OBS has 127k and is my daily driver so I mostly enjoy that everything works and I enjoy keeping it that way. I do have front and rear skidplates because it's good insurance. I have also installed the infamous locking center diff switch on my 4eat. Other than that, If the time comes that I need to replace struts-I'm putting in some '04 Forester Xts and spings-donations accepted. Thanks and see you on the forums.

Welcome. Don't be afraid to play in the dirt with the OBS mine has 190k and still going strong. I've been on some trails that probably shouldn't have but so far worst to happen is blowing my struts on a jump a couple weeks back.

Welcome to the forums. We love our OBS brothers and sisters! They are in fact good DD's but also double as very capable rallycross platforms. I've seen guys really tear up the course in them!
Whatever you do its up to you, and all good with me! Thanks for posting up and seasons greetings back to ya!

crazy bunch? we don't do anything crazy . I think the people that spend thousands of dollars on their subies and never truly enjoy their potential are the ones who are crazy. :)

+11ty billion. Why buy a car with one of the greatest ongoing rally heritages and not at least explore the possibilities of your car's potential. Granted you don't need to do a full build for stage rally as so many of us here are either in the process of doing in hoping/planning on doing, but at least get off the pavement every now and then and enjoy the beauty of AWD. Cause it's All We'll Drive.

so so true. talking to people at my first subaru meet, and they were discussing how many whp they were putting down with all of their mods. so i asked what types of events they ran and they looked at me funny..."you mean like this one?" i replied, "no, we were just cruising streets at the speed limit...don't you ever go to the track or rallyX or anything?" a couple of them autoXed, but they were mostly very confused about why i would actually want to spend money to compete when it could be used to buy more power. apparently, they only add power to see how much they can pull on the dyno. nice, subaru-loving people, but i wish they'd sell their cars to some drivers...[/rant]
