DI Windshield Banner Pre-Order Thread! *They're Here!*

PRE-ORDER IS CLOSED!
Once pre-orders are filled, there will be windshield banners available for sale through the DI online store. Should be around 1/21/07.

The windshield banners turned out awesome so i am going to submit a full production run to be made. :p I would like to have some orders locked in before hand so this is the deal.

1) Post up saying you want a banner (please specifiy how many)

2) send a paypal payment to payment@dirtyimpreza.com for $25 each banner. This price includes shipping / handling / tax / paypal fees.

3) In your paypal payment BE SURE TO VERIFY YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IS CORRECT. I will be shipping to the address provided in the paypal receipt. If it is incorrect or you want it shipped somewhere else, please specify in the memo field.

I would like to submit the order around January 1st 2008.

Basic Installation Instructions:

These are essentially big stickers so you probably wouldn’t get it stuck in the correct position on the first try, so you need to use a lubricant (water) to allow you to move it around and get it in the right spot.

1. Clean the window REAL good with windex or some other glass cleaner.
2. Get a spray bottle and fill it with plain water (if its really hot or dry out, you can add 2-3 drops of liquid dish soap).
3. Peel off the backing of the window banner sticker. The vinyl will be exposed and will still be attached to the masking tape cover.
4. Spray down the windshield with lots of water.
5. Spray down the back of the sticker with lots of water.
6. Lay down the sticker on the windshield and move it around into the desired position. If you need to pull it back off and back on again, re-spray it so it stays very wet, this will allow you to move it around if it is not in the perfect spot.
7. Once its where you want it, take a credit card and scrape across the vinyl letters (with the mask still in place) to push out the bubbles. You don’t have to push too hard and you want to avoid ripping the masking tape cover.
8.Give the sticker plenty of time to dry (I actually waited overnight…)
9. Peel off the mask slowly. If any of the vinyl tries to come off with it, just go very slowly and push it back down.
10. Take a picture of how sweet it looks and post it on DirtyImpreza.com!

stage events, yes. but they will be CRS events sanctioned by either RA or NASA.

I dont care if their legal or not right now. Until i know im running an event and am required to run a Rally America banner (or some other kind) the DI banner is going to be up there! :headbang:

I think all DI tow vehicles are going to be required to have these. LOL...

well since its winter, when i get one how would i be able to let it dry.. the water will just freeze and my garage isnt kept warm enough either.. would i be able to use a hair dryer or something like that?

I bet a hair dryer would work. What i would do is try to mop up as much water with a towel, and then go back with a hair dryer to dry out the masking tape. Don't over heat it in one place though. Then peel the mask off from one side and see if the vinyl is sticking to the window. If not, then dry it some more and try again...

ouch, my dad doesn't really like my subaru that much but then again he's admitedly hit the age were comfortablity is the most important aspect of a car and with his bad knees and being overweight a subaru is far from comfortable for him to ride in...lol

but I got mine when my mom was still alive and I lived with her, though she called my OBS "Cute" :pissed:

but atleast he's warmed up :flamed to the car after he realized it was a boxer engine... He used to own a couple porsches so he's a fan of boxers..lol
