I guess I never made a thread about this...
Bought a 05 Forester XT Premium 5MT for super cheap, it had a blown turbo. Threw on a spare TD04 I had, and drove it around for a week. 8 days later, it spun a rod bearing. My FXT heads were trashed due to the oiling issue that killed the turbo, so I bought a fully dressed 06 WRX EJ255 and a EJ257 shortblock with an 09 STi rotating assembly [nitrated crank].
Put it all together, and I have a hybrid EJ257/255 Forester. Got it running about a week ago, I have just over 200 miles on the new engine. Plans are to swap someone STi suspension, and do a VF39/STi TMIC/gutted STi exhaust.
Threw on a STi axle back on Sunday, as well as the 17x7.5 Rota GR-As I got from my rally team.
