seat time ;)

you can either spend 300+ bucks on swaybars OR pay for 6 rally-x ;) Then from there go for tyres if your feeling rich!

... however being a wagon a rear strut bar would be a good idea for now.. cheap and easy to install, and a major improvement

+1 on seat time aka the biggest and most important car mod of all.

300$ is also a good portion of a driving school ;) (aka seat time)

Cant emphasize this enough!

But if you must get a suspension piece, get a rear strut bar and endlinks.

As everyone has said, seat time. Figure out how your car handles, and what it needs. With your AGX's, there is a lot you can tune for (ie understeer to oversteer).

seat time for sure, i want to do that ridgecrest school. a lot of the rally crosses are pretty far away and im kind of scared of breaking down 3.5 hours away and getting screwed.

Well.. no point in getting suspension for rallycross if you're not gonna go to them for fear of breaking down :D

Also think of it this way - at any given rallycross you have a serious concentration of car nuts and Subaru experts, ample manpower and all-conquering spirit of rally. It's a good place to be if you need help... just ask.

However, you'd have to be trying really really hard to break something that bad on your car. Just make sure it's in good mechanical shape, not overdue for tranny/diff oil, decent air filter etc.. the usual stuff.. and go for it.

seat time is what i would vote for but strut bars would be nice as well since u are a wagon.

i live in SD as well and have driven 10+ hours to a rallycross hoping to not breakdown....its all part of the fun!

Yeah thats one thing I've yet to do with my wagon. I will end up making a rear strut bar....I need more time in the day.

I love it Kyle....just custom fab everything....I wish I had your skills

I just put in a strut bar in my wagon a while ago, and it makes a great difference.

i wish i could custom fab a rear strut bar, its so simple and it pisses me off that i cant make it.

looks like im getting a skid plate next, and then maybe a strut tower bar if i see one used somewhere. used ftw, nasioc is awesome for buying used junk cheap. i cant see buying new stuff after shopping around there

Wow... rear strut tower bars for WRX wagons sure vary in price..

No-name from "Auto Grimmig" via eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Subaru-02-03-04-05-Impreza-WRX-STi-Rear-Upper-Strut-Bar_W0QQitemZ230205524760QQcmdZViewItem) - $25

GT Spec from Innovative Tuning (https://www.innovativetuning.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1501) - $669

669, im sure some idiot would pay that much too. i would like to get one of the quick release ones, so i can through my mountain bike and what not in the back easily but who knows.

i heard wagons have plastic endlinks compared to the sedan, worth upgrading?

struts more for handling, im looking more to bullet proof it. what stock pieces usually bend compared to non stock pieces and what not?

It's not all that hard to make one, it just takes a little patience to cut and grind and some time to learn how to weld. I made one for my last car....what a pos (the car not the strut bar)

Actually all imprezas not including the STI have plastic endlinks in the rear. They are definately work upgrading as the plastic ones flex and break.

O well I also snapped one of the swaybar mounts in half ;) had to find a friend that upgraded to larger mounts to replace it...
