Hey I am just wondering if there is a light in the gear shifter (Automatic) on '02? I know there is a display on the dash but I'm just wondering if maybe my light is burned out or if there is no light. Also does anybody know about the clock not working it worked for a less then a day (bought my subie used)? Other than those two things I love my subie! ;)

not sure about the light, and those clocks never work, regardless of model :lol2:
anyway, you're nitpicking! go play! :lol2:

If you're referring to the console display around the shifter then I don't ever remember my 02 having a light there, will call my mom(she's got the car now) tommorrow and ask just to be sure.
And for the clock do you mean that it doesn't light up or that it no longer keeps time properly? If it's just the light then I'd head over to Nabisco and search for how to fix it. Or just replace it, if you look on the classifieds they usually only run about $20.

there was a light in the console on the auto shifter of my 96 legacy. mine actually just had a loose connection, wiggled it a bit and it worked fine.

For the clock I mean that it doesn't light up. I did once and only once after my Dad drove my car. I guess it was that Mechanic luck. But he doesn't know nor does he want to know what's wrong with it. But I will check out Nabisco. Thanks

The clock is actually really simple. It's just a couple of wires. My guess is either you have a loose wire or it just burned itself out. It is pretty straightforward to take it out/put it in.
