i was running 215/55s on stock, they might rub a bit on extreemly tight turns but otherwise they were just fine. I think mine were wider then usual so that might be part of the rubbing too. But i know 225/60s will be too big, they will rub on the bottom hat of the impreza strut

hmmm interesting. i was thinking of going taller though. like 205/60 or 205/65. do you think that will rub?

i would think the 65s might rub, but i couldnt give you a 100%. i think most shops will test fit for you tho. might be worth playing around with tho

215/60-16 Yokohama Geolander ATS tires on 16x7 et48 wheels fit, but they rub the inner fender the slightest bit at a certain steering angle on the front. It's nothing to really worry about.

Use this tool to determine size comparison. You can enter the max tire size (i.e. you need smaller than 225/60/16).
205/60 is .5" shorter than the 225/60, etc. Looks like a 205/65 is the same height as a 225/60 so thats a no go.

I run 215 60 on my L all the time, there is no more than 1/32 of clearance on the strut and an occasional small rub. They work great though!! hope this helps!!!!
By the way its the rears that are that close, more clearance in the front
