How much water can a stock 2007 Impreza ford? I'm thinking only three to four inches?

more than that...I'd guess up to a foot, as long as its not an extended period of time and you're not doing 50mph.

wheel bearings won't like that much though.

without sucking water into the intake... prolly 1ft 4 inches @ a slow speed (5mph) if you go fatser you will build up a wave onto the hood then water finds its way in the intake! I know.. Now if you make a snorkle like that guy did for 50$ or less, you can go as deep as you dare!...

You know you have to change your gear/trans fluids after doing so though...

(intake sucks in air right above the radiator, so if your hood goes under so does the intake)

keep the water out of the intake and you'll be ok... i've seen up to the top of the front bumper (i've seen deeper as in the thread above but not without a snorkel)

long term though, as mentioned, wheel bearings probably won't like you much.

I am about 4in lower then stock and i have been in water about 11in..... something that I would not d again but it made it lol
