Dunno what to say lol. I started off in the honda world like most and decided the dropped car wasnt right for me

This was my second honda and I just really wanted to try something different. At this time I saw several pictures that started to pull me over to the subaru side. I know it seems everyone is going from honda to subaru and i hate to jump on the band wagon but it happens lol

So i did. I started watching rally videos and tryin to figure all of this out and decided that I wanted to move into the rally scene. I got a 96 Impreza L

The first thing i did went I got this car was: first took it on to a gravel road and played some. Then went off into some grassy areas and tried my luck there.
I fell inlove with the fun!
starting small I didnt know exactly how I wanted to go with this car so I got clear sidemarkers and corners (sorry bout the crappy pix)

Moving on I was sick of the side moldings falling off and all of the small dings and dents all over the car so I though it was time for some yummy body work

When playing in the mud, these things really protect the car!
The next couple of steps with the car came quickly
I had to cover up the bondo. So I had some primer on the sides. Also I changed my wheels picked up some wrx wheels for 200$
And out of luck pretty much picked up a set of jdm taillights for free (someone busted out my taillights and i got more money than needed for them)

Moving to the rear of my car. The ideas started to kick and I realized I really didnt enjoy my spoiler. I always wanted the rb spoiler or something large lol But instead I went spoiler-less and found i liked it alot.

knowing how i am i was happy but wanted something new. I couldnt decide on which front end I wanted.
It was between the v2 and the v6 front end. Looking around and saving some pennies. I found a nice v2 hood for sale so I went for it!

The color difference was not very attractive. So i got my dads steady hand and some spray cans. Knowing I wanted rally love a "show car" finish was not needed. Sadly I still have some paint I need to do

get the beam in. and sadly It still hasnt come in. Hopefully it will be here tomarrow so i can get my dam bumper on agg!!

i forgot to talk about my engine lol
early in the game my car was pouring oil from it. So i replaced all the gaskets and it still seemed to be a problem. Lucky me had the front pulley digging into the crankshaft shell causin the leakage. So... once adding my a/c back on the car. the now off balanced pulley broke completely and thats when i needed a new engine.
Picking up a 2.5 from a friend. I found the heads on the 2.5 was pretty shot and probably not the best thing to run. My friend, who i believe i can always trust. installed the 2.5 block with the 2.2 heads (which bumped up my compresson!!) and now is running great! much faster than a stock rs. but nothing compared to a ej20
lol and i found a shot of how much dirt I had built up from my last little off road fun

one of the guys who invited me to the site. iunno his s/n on here but on ecx it is shakes. He said the best thing to do suspension wise is to keep it on the stock springs and struts because i want to do both rally/auto X. so for now im going to keep it stock until i find a happy medium

lol ya. the v2 hood came white thats y its still pretty. The reason the roof looks black is because its still green and hopefully i can finish the paint soon. BUT i got my beam in today so the bumper will b on the car before work. Ill take some pix tomarrow nite.

+1 for updating your info with the DMV. I got pulled over in my old Geo once that we had rattle canned more than once and it took over 3 hours before that all got straightened out. On the other hand had I had all my body panels on the car in the first place it might not have been so bad.

The new bumper is looking good, and I too kind of like the panda look with the green and white. Maybe do the bumpers and a few accents in green to match the roof. If I knew how to use PhotoShop I'd mock it up but just off of what I can see in my mind I think it might look decent.

im happy with it. I do need to get the color changed huh? lol never thought about it. The green will all be gone. I would like to do the back bumper and maybe the roof black but the rest of the car is going to be white. maybe it we can get some more rain/snow ill get some good pix

coming along nice! my buddy wet sanded his spray paint ver 6 sti/impreza L and it came out amazing. Just throw a good wet sand on that and a polish and you will never know from a few feet away!
