Recce vs Jemba vs blind rallies is a major topic in the US rally community right now and tends to polarize people in a big way.

The comments about why everyone goes off there and wondering how the cars get cleared so fast are pretty much spot on. The fact the thread degraded into a "well, if they had recce" debate is another story.

That one car that ends up on it's roof in the road, you can almost see the co-driver start to write "deceptive, tightens to L2-" into his route book while he's hanging upside down. :lol2:

Ha... yeah 'oy oy oy' is very Finnish, you hear it out of rally drivers all the time. I think the number and volume of oys may be directly related to the amount of alcohol consumed during the day :D

Lot of old Starlets in Finnish club rally by the looks of it?

I've always wondered if every single car at that even wrecked at that corner, or if the video was just the ones that did? How many cars actually made it around that corner vs how many crashed?

If I read correctly in the thread, 180 cars out of 200 made it.

THat's at 0:53. I love that shot because it really shows how insane rally navigators are. AT least the driver can control the car. But here's a crash, the car is UPSIDE DOWN, there might be a fuel leak, or another car due in a minute, and the navigator is calmly hanging upside down in his harness looking through his notes, probably to see what went wrong. :D

"Why don't rally cars have rear seats? Because that's where the driver and navigator put their BALLS."

I was codriving a RS years ago in a winter rally in Canada (3 feet of snow on ground). We rolled onto roof a slid like a bobsled on roof down steep mountainside. Sliding along with wheels pointed skyward, driver was sawing the steering wheel like he would be controling the car. Codrivers are smarter.
