So I know there are a couple of real, legit, stage rally builds going on for 2008/2009.....who's gonna hit the stages first?

(sorry if I don't remember your DI name correctly)

Aaron - 409industries
Kyle - SubySpawn
Louie - lminette

who else? I'm on that list too, but not until late 2009, so I doubt I'd come close to being 'first'.

I think Aaron seems to be on a pretty good clip...I'll put my money on him.

And what's the East Coast line up look like?

I dont plan on making any stages this summer... Hopefully i can finish the Integra though! then plan for a stage rally in 09 ;)

I have plans to be on stage by LSPR 2009, so count me in the race. I had a "sponsorship" but it fell through.

Aaron is well ahead of me too.

Yea I have my money on Aaron as well, just due to all his connections and what seems like a smooth running consistent build.

As for the East Coast, im really shooting to have the car done over the next two years, im going to just keep rally crossing and do whatever else I can to get connections, and build a better stronger panda along the way. Budget is my biggest limitation, but i do have some sponsors ready to go when the car is closer to completion.

its pretty awesome to have a handful of people on here building towards the goal of stage and will be interesting to see what happens over the next two years!!!

It stands for "type this into Google to find out what it means" :D

okay fine. It stands for "for the win". Kinda like saying "oh yeah" or something.

Other ones I can think of:
FTL = for the loss (i.e. opposite of ftw)
FTMFW = for the.. aahh.. "mighty fine" win
FTMFL = same as above but for loss
IIRC = if i recall correctly
BTW = by the way
AFAIK = as far as I know

it counts - I didn't build my car and I'm still kinda counting myself but the reality of my situation is that it will be awhile... but the #1 suggestion on SpecialStage when new people discuss getting into rally is to buy a simple 'production' or 'G2' 2WD car and use it to get started in rally - once you convince yourself that you are for real then go big!

I have been looking to buy a prepped car. I am trying to work out some logbooking issues w/a car I am interested in. Good thing the rally scrutinizers are cool guys and are helping me through this. I should know more in the begining of this week.

I will most likely be starting stage in a prebuilt, pre run 2wd as well. Just to get into it. I have been urged to go that route but havent had the spare money to pick up another car. Odis got the right idea!

Keith, do you have a rally computer yet? I just bought a brantz laser 3....we just need a $50 sensor and a 12v power source, some velcro tape and we're good to go.
