DIY $15 Mudflaps

Hey so i wanted to put some mudflaps on my rig but i didnt want to spend the $110 on rally armor so i decided to make my own. They take a while to make but they are well worth it. I started out by going to my local truck center and picking up a 36" x 36" 18 wheeler mudflap for $15.27. I first had to take off the bright orange "Clarks Truck Center" For this i used a sanding disk on a drill.

Once that was done I used a black spray paint to make it a darker black. After that i made a stencil of what i wanted and test fitted them on the car (cardboard)

after i got the shape and length i wanted i made paper stencils and traced them onto the truck flap.

The material is about a half inch thick so i had to use a skill saw and a hack saw to cut it.

I made the back ones longer than i needed them so i could cut them to exactly the right length but i decided to keep them long

WOOOOWWW never thought of this... think I might make shift up some for the rally car... my dad has loads of these laying around.... but they are freightliner! Nice job man!

thanks, they are pretty low and scrape when i hit a pothole or something but i am really happy with how they came out
