Hey guys,

was hoping to get some info from knowledgeable people before I started trying to bust things open before I know what is wrong.

To put it simple, look at this picture someone took of me this weekend
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-G78CBW1WZuw/TeHYvSIOg2I/AAAAAAAABG0/uVDlnz_VpvM/s720/IMG_1312.JPG

Everyone at the rally cross kept on coming up to me and saying " Why is your car only spinning with the front tires??" At first I thought it was only kicking up more dirt in the front cause I know the 4EAT has a weird torque split but then someone showed me a video they took on their phone and the wheels don't even spin at the same rate. Then I looked at the one other guy that had an automatic and it wasn't acting the same.

The car literally was driving like my 95 fwd impreza. I even put the fuse into the FWD fuse to see if maybe the bulb was broken or something but that wasn't it.

I guess this also applies to imprezas and legacys since they have the same tranny.

Any suggestions or ideas?

From my digging about of the internetz.. it looks like you either have a solenoid that failed and isn't allowing lock at all, or the more likely dead clutch pack.

If you need a hand tearing into it, give me a buzz. I haven't found the $$ on a clutch rebuild for that yet though.

Thanks for posting!
That's what I been finding too. I'm gonna go to my dealer right now, they give me an awesome discount! hopefully its way cheaper...

Thanks for offering to help! I'll let you know when I can get it done. I need to get the other car running so i can use the car port... :/

Either that or the front diff is bad, and not transferring the power to the rear. its how they make evos and sti's front/rear wheel drive.
