The rallyx surface I will be running on is grassy and a little rough-ish with a couple of heavier rough areas.
I am on stock 04 STI springs with my D-specs and I am wondering what you guys have used as far as settings. How many turns from soft? full soft?
having not used d-specs before i can only say that the best thing to do if you can adjust them at the event is run full soft or very close to full soft front and rear and then stiffen up the rear until the car over-steers to your liking. This is what ive done with my 95 L on KYB AGX's, very soft up front and i guess normal in the rear (half way between full soft and full hard)
Hope that helps some

I use similar springrates and IIRC i'm at like 4 from full stiff in the front and maybe 5.5 in the rear. Can't remember though.
Williaty will probably say i'm overdamped. He may be right. Dunno. :)

on mine i run full soft rear and and -5 from full stiff in the fronts... the rear end really likes to dip down and launch hard out of corners...
really you should just play around with it and find a liking to what ever is going to give you a fast time...

Thanks for the info guys. I kind of figured everybody was either at full soft or a little above. This info will help with finding a setting that suits me. I really appreciate it.
guess now that i think of it my weak 135hp L doesnt like to oversteer naturally on power like your turbo cars, which means i need to dial suspension in for oversteer. lol

I like 5 turns from full stiff, front and rear. If you want more stability, go 5.5 or 6 in the rear.

05 wrx with 07 sti take offs, 5.75 turns from full stiff front, 6 rear. I did a lot of testing and these settings were the best I found.
Since then I have removed 100kg from my car so I may need less damping now?

You shouldn't need to change it if you don't change your springs. The job of a damper is to control the spring.
However, with a lighter car, you might decide you have too much spring. In that case, you might want to go back down to WRX springs, at which point you'll want to back off on the damping a little.

But isn't the way the spring behaves dependent on the weight of the car? isn't this why front and rear damper settings are different because most the weight is up the front?

Not exactly. Most of the weight is up front, so the front springs have higher rates than the rear springs. That means the front struts have to be stiffer to control them.
