This is my first post here so be nice

I actually had 3 paragraphs typed out for this but for whatever reason it didn't post and I lost it all, so I'll try to get everything back in here, Anyway, I have an 04 WRX sedan. The car is mildly lowered on Epic springs w/ kyb gr2 struts (~1.5" front, 1" rear) the car will only see dry/wet pavement 99.9% of the time. But a couple times a year I'd like to take the car to the snow and maybe to a camping trip thats a little off the beaten path and will require a little off roading. I want a way to quickly and easily raise the car and then lower it again afterwards without having to re-align each time. I figure the best way to do this is to get a second set of wheels with some tall tires. The problem is I don't really know what I can fit since my car is lowered. The car is not slammed, I can still fit 2 1/2 - 3 fingers between the tire and fender (has 225/50/16 tires at the moment) I have some 17" wheels on the way and I was thinking about getting a set of steelies for the big tires, but I was curious if the stock 16" alloys can stand up to some abuse or should I just get the steelies? My question is, what size tires do you think I'll be able to fit? I don't think I could fit 215/65/16, but maybe 215/60/16? or something in between like a 225/60/16? I'm really not sure.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
