Its super easy.. Just find disc knuckles and swap them out. Oh and brake lines. Just unbolt the old stuff and bolt up the disc stuff...

Like John said this is an easy swap as long as you have the right parts. You can easily find a legacy with rear disk breaks you can use.

My question was, and hopefully someone can pitch in:
I have two knuckles (spindles) one is a fwd with drums and the other is a awd with disk breaks.
Can I combine the pieces I have and make a fwd disk break set up?
Its looks possible from what I could tell but wanted to know if someone could pitch in before I started ripping things apart

I followed the above link when I did my 95L Wagon WRX front and rear brake conversion. Here is my swap:

I found a really good writeup in one of these threads when i did my brake swap...

It's really easy to do the conversion yourself maybe takes about 4 hours
I recommend SS brake lines for extra pedal response :headbang:

im pretty sure the proportioning valve would also have to change, since drums typically have a "delay" built into the prop valve. Or at least have an unusual bias.
