radiator options

I have a 96 2.2L 5spd sedan and have been looking for a new radiator for my used 97 2.2 i'm dropping in. I figure i might as well get an all aluminum radiator and skip the fail of an invention that is the aluminum core crimped to a plastic end caps.

Problem is, all the cheap aluminum radiators are make for 02 and later imprezas with the upper hose connection in the middle. Can i still make this work? what rad. hose do i need? can i keep my 96L fans?
