i have a friend with a forester xt. he wants to lower his car a bit, like an inch or so, something still usable but not tall like it is currently. would a set of sti springs do the trick, or is it the struts that are taller?

the reason i say sti springs is that he is looking for something cheap, and we were offered a set for 50 bucks

STi springs will lower it a little bit, but I don't think enough for what he's looking for..adding in STi struts will give it even more of a drop from that, but if he has to do 2004 ones, theres the possibility of the STi clunk sound (which is currently driving me crazy)

-1 for STi clunk... It almost like it gets worse everytime we go hit some dirt..

Using WRX struts/springs will give you something like a 3 inch drop.

STi struts / springs just love to clunk. Even after i switched back to my stocker springs from pinks, cleaned everything re-lubed em.. after about 500 miles they were clunking again. *sigh*

:saves for coilovers:
