DDing an offroad toy is a bad idea, my jeep needs a new heart and my dad's old car kicked the bucket after one day of me driving it. so now im in the market for another subaru... again or still lol

but yea i wanted an impreza, cheapest "good" impreza is still way out of my price range. but there are tons of leggos out there pretty cheap. and i dont know the first then to look for in a leggo. other then obvious things to look out for and look for. what should i keep an eye out for when scanning the market? im looking for a early 90's wagon maybe later if its in my price range. but i really like the early 90's body style.

thanks

I have a 1996 Legacy Brighton with a 2.2L, 5spd manual, and AWD (1996 was the first year that it came as standard equipment). Its a wagon, and has been bulletproof though all of my abuse so far. The only thing I've managed to do in the more than 30,000 miles I've been driving it was I blew up the radiator it had in it when I bought it, and some misc. maintenance stuff like balls joints and wheel bearings. Damn good cars, just make sure you buy a '95-'97 Legacy with a 2.2L SOHC (EJ22E), or a 2.5L SOHC (EJ25D), although the 25D motor isnt common, the 2nd Gen Legacy was equipped with the EJ22E as standard equipment, and the 2.5L DOHC motor (which is junk in my opinion) was offered in the Outbacks. Theyre prices between $800 and $2,000 depending on body condition and mileage, but theyre awesome cars, and a great place to start. =] Mine is named Alice. lol
