Is there any members here with black cars that they occasionally rally-x? Do you find it hard to keep clean? Does all the dirt and pebbles seem to do more damage to a black car than the other colors?

????????????
we don't care about paint here. This isn't NASIOC!!!
Just add some of this and don't paint your side skirts!

i ran a Regal Blue Pearl '05 RS for the past 2 seasons. RX was not hard on it at all. Just keep it clean and waxed and everything comes right out.
orbital buffers make the job easier too...

Install some clear vinyl if you are concerned. I'm doing that to my ride this spring. Rock-blocker type stuff...

Mudflaps go along way to protect the paint as well

Id have to say back would defininately show the most scratches, but the above mentioned methods are your best bet in keeping the rocks off.
Clear Vinyl or Rock Blocker
Mudflaps
Generous use of 3M Painters tape... :)

My car was amazingly clean even after what happen in my sig pic. Mudflaps work reall well. I get more rock chips driving on the highway to the event.

The chips will pretty much show up on any car out there. Rally Blue doesnt do much better (with the white showing through from the chips!) but i would imagine that black cars might show them off a bit more.
If i had to do it all over again, id definitely get rock blocker on the hood.

This is what my RS looked like all the time(minus the rally tires) But then again I washed it a couple times a year. This was a car that had quite a bit of gravel roads and some rallyx action.

Yeah, too bad they weren't mine. The wheels and tires came from a friend of mine with a PGT car, he just let me borrow them for the rallyx. :D

Black or not, Subaru paint sucks. That said, you will probably get more chips and dings taking the freeway to work every day than from an occasional autocross. Just touch them up with some touchup paint so they don't rust and you're good to go!

my BRP RS, when clean and waxed, looks like it has splatter up the sides because of so many chips in the paint
