Hi guys, I just signed up here. I have an 04 STi that right now is set up for pavement (read slammed). I've decided to go a different route with my car and will slowly be making it more useable for rallyx. right now I'm looking for suspension suggestions. the car currently has bc racing coilovers and I'm wondering if I can get away with switching to softer springs or if the coilover dampers don't have enough travel to even bother with.

Welcome to the forums! If you're interested in getting into rallycross you've come to the right place.

For one, I love the mudflaps so you got that covered for rallycross! If your car is that height in that picture you're going to have issues with the ruts that develop on a rallycross course. I ran almost the entire season on STi pink springs and they were almost too low (but still an inch higher than your car in the pic). A very capable setup is some KYB AGX struts and stocker springs...

Post up your question in the GD technical section to get some more feedback :)

I'm trying to figure out where I've seen pictures of your car!

I swear theyve been posted on here before.

Either way, welcome to the boards!! Awesome pictures

For rallyx, if you still have your stock suspension handy, that would work perfect for rallyx, until you can locate some good coilovers, or just a strut/spring combo.

He takes great pics. He has done several photo shoots for fellow members on MNsubaru.com
