And by that, I mean simply practicing on a few gravel roads. Nothing too serious or dangerous. What was done to make sure it was safe, was done.

mudflaps are definately where its at. in fact, id recommend the rally armor mudflaps...

Rally Armor has already released a new urethane (UR) version of the mudflaps in the video, which compare with some of the more expensive versions that are on the market today (Prodrive, STi, etc)... hopefully we will have a video featuring them soon.

I can vouch for the RA mudflaps, I have a set, and Kreitz3 just got in his set.

I just got mine last week and I need to install them ASAP. I needed them last night. I was wondering why the car from that video was at the top of this forum. That was the first thing I noticed.
I haven't looked yet, but do I need my left front inner fender liner to install these flaps because mine seems to be missing.

Nice vids, looks a lot like where I live....flat farm roads.
I am installing a set of Sparco mud flaps next week, not the greatest but they are affordable! Should look something like this....
