Awesome, parking lots plus snow. Can't beat it. I used to do that in my old Peugeot 309 when the snow arrived, I can imagine how much fun it'd be in a car with AWD turbo action. And unlike desert dirt, the snow just melts off your car :D On the minus side, salt = bad.

I saw these over on RS25... and I'm on my way over to MN haha. I'm sick of Indiana and no snow.

If any of your are ever in MN, you should keep an eye on MNSubaru.com for event information. we are always open to meeting new suby owners.
the one issue I have been having is that i get snow caked inside my wheels from going sideways through powder. then it melts and freezes, and it feels like my car is going to fall apart since the wheels are so off balance. Its like one wheel was 16oz off balance or something. brutal, but so hard to resist going sideways.

The closest thing we get to that is hardened mud out here.

Looks like fun but I am curious, what kind of places can you get away with this kind of stuff without attracting the attentions of the police or the property owner?
Just a paranoid Limey in a foreign land.

the ultimate question everytime is "when are we going to get kicked out?"
it varies everytime we go out. sometime the police have nothing to do and just go look for people doing doughnuts, and other times they have actual work to do (car accidents). this was the first storm of the year so they were all busy. we mostly cruise through larger industrial areas where there is no traffic at night. the lots tend not to be plowed, and there is nothing which we can really destroy or damage (besides our cars).
last tiem there was a security gaurd cruising around who i thought was calling us in, since he was stopped by us however he was helping a stuck bus. we relocated anyway.
some nights we get kicked out within an hour others we can go all night long. last time noone ever came to yell at us. however on a certain occasion where we had a disc sled and a tow rope the police happened to come out. they came on fierce but upon seeing the guy with the reindeer antlers on the sled they lightened up and just told us to leave.

It must be nice to come back after some good snow driving action and just let the snow melt off your car:eek:. Here in So. California we get dust/dirt/silt in every crevis after having some fun in the desert and we spend days getting it out:pissed:. When we are done cleaning it is time to go out again.

haha.. dont worry guys in cali remember..no snow means.. u dont need a winter beater, u dont have bad starts or no starts, it is frickin cold out, you can get to work on time when ur late and oh yeah u dont have shovel it! lol but yes up here in the U.P. we a have a good foot of snow on the roads.. but um our roads a small winding dirt roads thru heavely wooded forests, where if u break down or hit a tree.. u will either die from the cold cause there is no cell phone service or get eatin by a large animal lol.. but its super fun once it get nice and warm in the car~!

also from years of doing this , new construction places and if u drive a little further out of town then its also a good chance you wont get introuble.. or doing it at 3am like i like. or its always good to have cbs so if some one spot a cop u can all relocate and um staying for no more than 15 mins at one spot is cool too..
