My co-driver and I are both pretty petite and were wondering if you had any suggestions regarding seats that seem to be built a little smaller. I am 5'4" and Tamika is about 5'1". My concern is that I may not be able to sit in a seat before purchasing. With the cost of seats, I cannot really afford to purchase one that ends up being too large. If anyone knows a petite driver/co-driver feel free to send them my way or let me know if you have any ideas for a smaller seat. Thanks everyone!

Sparco Corsa's are pretty narrow.

These are good recommendations. There are also extra padding that can easily be put into the seat to take up space in the waist and back areas where seats designed for males can tend to be too wide. Sparco offers a nice choice of add on pads that can be used with any seat manufacturer.

Order from Charles at safedrives.com

Being a rally guy himself, he knows the difficulties of not being able to 'try before you buy' and he'll work with you on it.

My seat is much smaller than my co-driver's, its the Cobra Imola Pro.

I am 5'6... 160lbs. And its almost on the small side for me. It would be a good candidate.

Sparco Corsa's are pretty narrow.

Narrow but tall, I'm 6'4 and 155lbs and fit in my Corsa perfect so I would not recommend it for someone too much shorter since the harness holes would be way too high. My ex is 5'6 and she was WAY too short for it. The best part of owning a Corsa though is watching all your friends try and squeeze into it and feel fat :FU: hehe

X2 for the sparco circuit. I've sat in a lot of different seats and those and a set of recaro's that are stupid expensive and I don't remember the model are the best I've sat in. I'm 5'8" and just shy of 150#'s. For the codriver I wouldn't worry too much and would actually recommend a normal sized seat. That way if you have to use a fill-in codriver you aren't limited to people by size. Also sitting in a wider seat has never been a problem for me codriving but I definitely prefer a tighter seat when I drive(not a rally driver).

Good to know about the co-driver seat. I honestly did not even consider that. Thanks!

UP2MTNS- I planned on getting my seat from there unless I can get one locally or used. :) I have a lot of safety gear already priced out from his site as well but thanks for the advice

Hoping to sit in a few at Sno Drift to get a feel for what works and what does not.

i have a cobra suzuka and imola in my car and will be at sno*drift. the imola is a fairly small seat, the suzuka seems to fit more people better

Carl's imola is quite narrow in the hip area, a lot of people have a tough time getting in.

In fact, i'm always surprised carl can sit in it, on account of he's fat. ;)

It is, but the Imolas have low / wide sills. Its somewhat of a "street-able" race seat. Good enough for guys like me getting their feet wet, and yet not too difficult to get in and out of them.

I have a 32 inch waist and the standard Imola is wide enough for me.

Yeah, but that is also the worst part as it narrows co-driver options.
