I'm sick of my drone-y cherry bomb muffler. I drive on the freeway frequently and it is too loud. I like how it sounds through first and second gear, and even third, but when I get to cruising speed it stops sounding like a subie and more like a POS cavalier or something lol
Who's got an ebay muffler? I know the quality on these might not be the greatest, but how do they sound? For less than 50 bucks I'm willing to look into getting one. My buddy can weld, so I won't have to deal with paying a shop.
Oh btw, SUPERS from rs25 might start production again on his MS3 single port UEL headers, so I want something that will contribute to a nice rumble for cheaaaaap
Thanks
Ryan

Idk if you remember me ryan but I was at the no alibi last year with the black coupe and the eBay muffler, I thik it sounds ok at freeway speeds it doesn't sound AS good but it's still pretty beefy lemme know and I'll find the one I bought I think it was 14 buck or something, I also have the same one that I took off and gutted with the intentions of putting back on to see how it sounded but at the time my parents said they would remove me from their insurance if i did it haha

is it rumbly? does it drone really loud when you let off the gas? You should put that other one back on without telling them and tell them you have an exhaust leak hahaha. but seriously, I want something that sounds decent, but a little more quiet, until I figure out if i'm doing a turbo swap, franken motor, or just 2.5. I am leaning toward the franken motor so I could use my ej22 heads. Then I could get borla headers correct? My car is peppy enough for me (former corolla owner), especially on snow, so I really don't need the headache of a turbo swap.

on my coupe i have just the ebay muffler. i used the stock exhaust tubing and just welded the muffler to it. i had to use a pipe expander on mine to get it to fit the muffler but it works nice and sounds nice. i get a nice little pop between shifts around 3800-4200. i get a vid later on today.

i have heard a couple of ebay mufflers and they sounds pretty good actually, they just dont last as long as other mufflers but you get what you pay for with cars so honestly you should save the extra 50bucks and get a magnaflow or 5zigen idk if they have mufflers on ebay but i have a 5zigen fireball exhaust (2.25 cbe) and it sounds great without uels
edit: you could also try putting a heavy blanket in the back of your wagon to help with the drown, i notice significantly less road noise from the muffle when i have a bunch of stuff in my trunk

The ebay knock off of the cobb pipe, I think its the SRS is a very nice catback. Great sound, great quality. I don't have it but a i've heard a few with it.

i have an ebay muffler right now with a fully welded 2.25 cat back with obx resonator in mid pipe. The ebay muffler sounds good for a month then all the figer glass blows out and it sounds like poop. I would suggest getting a obx universal muffler of ebay, there like 50 bucks, but obx is good stuff, i really like my resonator.

Just buy the cheapest Borla you can find... it won't be the best, but it won't be junk.
$100 from Summit, less from eBay I'm sure.

ok I don't want an ebay one anymore after hearing some responses.
new criteria: deep and low grunt. I want something I will be really happy with... I just want it to be low pitched and pissed off. Headers are in teh near future hehe.
