OK, ya'll know my car already but I want to get a thread going anyway. There are a lot of changes in store before the first event in February (Seed 9 Rally). We have a new team together and will be sending out more info on that soon as the website is done.
So let's start with a pic of how it looks now:

And I'll be back to get it going further!! Next post is our prelim T-Shirt design (Who wants one?) :)

Sweet shirt!! I'd sport it. If you need any help I'm down. I don't think that there is any way that I can have my car ready in time for Seed9 but I'd luv to help out in the pits or whatev to gain some more insight.

Also posted on NASIOC....
So I went to the Dyno Day/Clark Tune this weekend and got some awesome results.
Clark was an absolute pleasure to deal with - extremely courteous, professional, and down to earth. No question was too pedestrian for him. I showed up, drove my car into the bay at Dynamic, and an hour later had a kick-ass tune and a big $hit eatin' grin.
The car was previously tuned for 100 octane which I decided was a little too expensive for our rallying (at $8-9.00 a gallon). We're going to try to do an entire season next year and honestly I didn't need to have my gas budget be 3x what it could be. Plus with the great power the 2.5L motor makes anyway, there really wasn't a need for that extra amount of power.
The car is a 2002 WRX with an STi motor in it. Other mods include:
VF30
custom turboback exhaust with 1 hi-flow cat at the end of the tailpipe
ECUtek
Pink injectors
Stock fuel pump
big ol TMIC
EXEDY stage 2 clutch/lightened flywheel
K&N filter
GP moto intake elbow
The thing about running a rally car is that per the rules, you have to have a 34mm restrictor in your intake stream, right outside the turbo inlet. This, as you can imagine, chokes the engine considerably and prevents any appreciable gains no matter what mods you have. As you can see in the dyno plot below, once the car hits about 3,800 RPMs it is basically flat on power the rest of the way out.
After Clark spent less than an hour dialing the car in and making 3 solid dyno pulls, we both agreed that the power/tq was perfect and no further tuning was necessary. Took the car for a spin and it felt great, tons of torque and a real blast to drive. Idles much nicer, less afterfiring, and highway noise is less too.
As you can see below the torque curve is nuts and is 100% at about 3,700 RPM. We did get up to 242 whp and 320 wtq (if I recall correctly) but he didn't print out that sheet. The car is tuned at 17 psi and Clark also put a high-boost map in there with 20 lbs. Probably will leave low boost on though, as the car is a beast already.
Sorry about the crappy scan, the color one wouldn't scan the light colors so I had to do it in B&W then highlight the lines myself and rescan it.
I have also posted a video on youtube - check it out. Sound might be whack, but it's from a digital camera so whatever.
Anyway, check it out and comments are welcome, but no negativity please. I don't want to hear about what mods I need or whatever. Keep it positive.

Sounds freakin awesome. You're rocking the Rota Slips too, man those things are like a disease :D
Anyway, it looks good now but it'd be even better with a HKS SSQV BOV.
:lol2:
Lemme know if you need any kickass video action made.

Don't bag on the rotas, I've got 10 compomotives at home - can't dyno on rally tires. hehe

I'm not bagging on them.. I mean I run a set as road wheels, I know a bunch of people here have them, I saw about 5 sets at the auto-x the other day.. I never knew they were so popular :D
