This was just posted on the local subaru boards. the key parts are bolded.
"from the national weather service site:
"A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.
THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR 8 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW SATURDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY. AT THIS TIME...THE GREATEST SNOW
AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN...GENERALLY ALONG AND
EAST OF THE HIGHWAY 53 CORRIDOR. THE SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES...
COMBINED WITH GUSTY WINDS AROUND 20 MPH COULD CAUSE CONSIDERABLE
DRIFTING AND BLOWING OF THE SNOW. VISIBILITIES MAY ALSO BE
REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES IN THE HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS. TRAVEL
MAY BECOME DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE.""
People are already starting to organize a saturday night meet, for snow funs. I love this time of year.
"oohhss nnooeess teh snows"

Yeah we have a similar thing happening here. Except in SoCal, substitute "8 to 12 inches of snow" with "light to moderate rain".
"oh no rain what do i do!? lights off or high beams? follow 6 inches behind the person in front of me or leave a half-mile gap? drive everywhere at 20 or drive everywhere at 80? help the water has short-circuited my braaaaaaaaaiin"

I luv rain. Drove through the Sepulveda River on the way to work. While others veared I plowed through the 5-8 inches of water throwing water onto others cars and up on the side walk. I'm sure that the underside of my car is a lot cleaner now! Ha ha!!!

HAHA, parked my car today and could see all the mud dripping from underneath my car thanks to the So-Cal rain. I'm sure my job will love seeing chunks of mud scattered around our parking structure.

It is a good day today in the desert... it rained! I'm a bit scared of all the natives who seem to go retarded at the sight of rain, but at least I can have some fun.
Wish it was snow instead of rain, but I'll take what I can get.

So by the natives getting retarded do you mean when it rains they all regress back to neanderthal state and start whooping and dancing around and eating each other?

we get just enough snow here that nobody can drive in it. its great........ if its snow/raining everyone goes 10 mph and gets really really mad at you when you pass them.

w00t. we got about 6 - 8 inches. meet last night was great. I am uploading some pics which i will post up in a little while.
We had about 10 or 12 cars, ranging from Ls, RS, WRXs, STi, Wagons. the entire gamut was there. took a while to find a good place since the plows were out early and there was a security car pacing around. but we found a huge lot. the top area was plowed. there was a small ramp (1' gradual drop) which led to a huge lot w/ no curbs that was un plowed, about 8 inches of powder and drifts up to 2'. just far enough away from the main road to not attract attention. perfect. spent 2-3 hours there. lotsa pics and vids taken.
