Hey I wanna make another light bar for my obs. I have 2 hella 500 ff's sitting around, and that's not okay. Any other gc/gf owners use that bracket? how sturdy is it? what type of bolts/screws did you use? It feels pretty strong, but I want to hear from people that have tried/succeeded. Thanks!
Look at my last post in the light bar thread. I think it'll be relevant to your project.

I saw that, It's really crafty. I just don't have a welder. How have other people done it? It looks like they are just putting bolts through the lic. plate holes? I would want to reinforce it somehow, probably by adding some supports that go up under the grill. Thoughts?

For a year or so, my lights just bolted into the license plate holes. That setup worked alright, but the lights shook some. You could always do that as a temporary solution until you think of something else or befriend somebody with a welder.

Yeah good points. I think I'll bolt them in in the bracket for now and make some friends! What type of bolts did you use? self tapping screws? did you just use the license plate screws you already had? that seems sketch, but If it worked for over a year it must have been okay. Thanks for your help! I wanna get this finished, I miss running 4 lights!

if its anything like my 02,(which it may not be) then you should just drill alll the way through the bumper beam. and slide your bolts through there and it will be super sturdy.
