Well, there are no posts in here, so I thought I'd share.
There is a guy in petosky, MI named Gary who has 9 svx's. I may be able to help you get ahold of him if you need parts.
By buddy has two svx's.
I bought a with a svx with a bad trans for $700 and put the motor/ecu/wiring harness in my impreza.
User name "Boxersix" helped me a lot, via messages,with my swap.

I own an SVX and an XT6 with an SVX engine... I'd be willing to help anyone with swaps (if the car is not road worthy anymore)
i hate it when people do what the above did.... car only needed a trans, and then it dies because someone wants the powerplant.... Oh well.

hey guys i have a 92 svx but for some reson its only runing on 3 cilinders on low rpm then once it hits about 5 to 7000 rpms it runs on 6 do u have any clue wht the hell it is !!!

There is likely a short somewhere. I have redone a lot of the wires. The most common wire issues I've seen with Svx engines are the cam sensor wires get exposed and misfire (pretty easy fix).
And the plugs to the coil packs dry out, crack, and cause misfires as well. My crank sensor caused the same as issue as the cam sensor, randly ran on a few cylinders. That sensor is under the alternator and is a little harder to get to, but still not bad to repair

Sorry for stealling the drivetrain from a good svx. I Sold the clean shell to my buddy and he put his whole drivetrain from a banged up Svx into my clean shell.

i guess i can chime in here, ive owned 3 svx's now, all have been manual swapped. 2 cable clutch setups, and 1 hydro..first=rally-x car, second=daily driver,third=rwd converted transmission and drift project slammed on custom coilovers (stock housings shortened with civic struts as inserts) slammed on 15x8 solid american racing rims +6 offset rims...somehow these 15s clear! and look epic! so if anyone has questions feel free to contact me on the manual swaps, exhausts,wiring, custom headers, etc. im here to help!:cheers:

allright my svx started ****ing up it sound like iam runing on 3 cilinders tell i get to high rpms then it runs fine checkengin light just came on any 1 have a clue what the **** is wrong plz help anything helps!!!! thanks

I had the same issues with my 96. There is a series of things that can be wrong. And regretfully, you will need to check/replace each to solve the problem. As it could be any of the following: #1: A dieing fuel injector. Just buy one from any parts store and begin to swap it around on your intake. Start on the drivers side front injector. Drive it around. If you still have the problem, swap it to another injector and so on. Sooner or later, you will find which injector is only working part of the time.
#2: It could be your fuel pump. Replace your fuel filter. Hiccup still there? Check your fuel pressure. It could be a pump going out.
#3: Bad Ignition Coil Pack. You only have to buy one. Shop around for the best price as the dealership will try to rape you on this one. Buy the coil for the front of the engine as it has the longest wiring lead. Install it, drive. Then swap around on the engine until you find the one that was going out.
#4: There are two sensors to replace. The camshaft position sensor, and the knock sensor. DO NOT go to the dealership for these. They want nearly $500 for them From Autozone, they are only $140ish.
I hate to say it, it could be ANY of these. The problem is, there is really no way to test them. You just have to replace and hope.
