I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and Soltek Lighting Systems by Baja Designs. My name is Chris Chapman and I am the Marketing Manager for Baja Designs Inc. Here at Baja Designs we manufacturer high performance lighting systems for a variety of vehicles and applications. At Baja Designs we constantly use racer feedback and our own vast experience to develop the best off-road products on the planet. Being located in Southern California allows us to test with all of the factory motorcycle teams along with some of the biggest names in the truck and buggy classes.

In recent years we introduced our Soltek Lighting line which includes our 8” La Paz and 4” Fuego. Both of these lights have been a huge hit with racers and recreational enthusiasts alike. A huge following has developed for the 4” Fuego as its compact size allows it to be mounted on almost any vehicle in a variety of locations while offering the same attributes as its big brother the 8” LaPaz.

We use Osram Sylvania’s latest Generation 5 ballasts and bulbs with integrated igniter which are smaller, lighter and more reliable and allow us to mount the ballast internally even on our 4” Fuego. Mounting that ballast internally also serves to shield the ballast from the elements commonly associated with off-road use and makes installation a breeze. Our beam patterns are engineering to offer superior light distribution without distracting “hot spots” or “sharp cut-offs” and the light coverage of our 4” Fuego is superior to that of many much larger lights currently on the market.

We have identified many similarities between Rally Racing and Off-Road Racing and have had the opportunity to do some testing with the crew at Rally Innovations and are very excited with the results and anxious to get involved with the rally community. We have a wide cornering beam that we believe no driver who likes to get it sideways, or does so accidentally, should be without!

We are excited to share our products and to become a part of the DirtyImpreza.com community! Thank You!

Chris, we are glad to have you! Before Aaron bought his lights, I hadn't heard of Soltek Lighting, and from what I've seen, they are impressive. I can't wait to see how they work on his car. I wouldn't be surprised to see more and more of the lights installed on rally cars in the coming seasons.

Any insight to a Soltek Lighting/Rally Innovations lighting/lightbar combo as a possibility? :muhaha:

Once again, welcome to DI.com!!

Welcome Chris. I've been in the off-road industry for many years and I am glad you guys are looking into rally!! We use your lights on our chase trucks for Herzog Racing! I got a chance to check out Aarons lights (and mount them) and they are sweet.
