like the title says, the standard STI Group-N mounts (which are only $100 but seem to be out of stock all over the country)

vs

Avid Racing mounts for $290?

(these aren't an 'ebay item', just for sale on ebay...they retail for $450 http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/AC-MM-014)

anyone know them? use them? Avid also makes a 'solid' mount as well. I'm just wondering if its really worth the extra $200.

I do NEED new mounts, I think I broke one (or its about to break) at Laughlin. Sometimes I get a loud 'clunk' at start up (engine runs fine at all rpms, so its not internal) and an intermittent clunk between shifts, etc.

oh yeah nice thing about the gr.N's is they are made out of rubber which means they dont need to be greased and will not squeak and if you get in a head on collision they will act like normal mounts and let your engine go under your car, instead of into your car as what will happen with hard mounts.

I love my groupN's also. I wouldn't do a full solid mount unless you were fully caged, then solid mount the trans. We do full solid mounts of off-road trucks when they are full tube-chassis only.

Hey UP2MTNS did you get those bushings installed? If so how do you like them?
