I've been lurking in these forums for a while. Looks like I'll be getting a '93 Impreza AWD sedan here shortly, and I can't wait to give it some rally prep lovin'. I did my first RallyX in Austin this year, and it was a blast! Current plan is to stay within the rules of Rally America Production class (if I can resist the JDM EJ20 swap temptation) in case I someday get the opportunity to run an actual stage rally. I'm also looking into restarting the Houston RallyCross program, so if anyone on these boards is in the area, give me a shout.
Glad to be here, thanks for the space to play! Pics will follow when I get my car

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody! The Texas regional section needs some life in it, that's for sure. I'll do my best to help.
My first priority with the '93 will be basic mechanicals and some body and paint work. It's kinda rough on one quarter panel and in the paint department. However, it's really tough to find AWD GC cars (especially '95 and earlier) down here, so I'm taking what I can get. Plus it's cheap :D and leaves me plenty of room in the budget for improvements. The swap will come eventually.

Hey welcome to DI, I actually will be returning to the Houston area myself (highway 59 north, Cleveland/Humble area) in the very near future and I currently do the moderating up here in the Mt. west area for DI. I miss Texas badly and cant wait to get back down to my beloved lone star state! Im hoping to get very involved with the rally/rallycross scene when I make my grand return! Be sure to keep up with things and keep us posted here on DI, also feel free to PM me aboutn anything cool down there as I will be back down that way in roughly 2-3 months! CHEERS to Texas!

Great, it'll be nice having another Houston DI member. Sounds like you'll be here in plenty of time for the 2008 rallyX season. I'm trying to get it off the ground for Houston next year, but I'll definitely be going to Austin for their events. Maybe we can work together to get Houston going again. It's a lot of work, I know I'll need help from someone!

Im doing everything I can to make it back down there asap and I will definately offer up any assistance down there I can! I have just a couple loose ends to tie up here in Wyoming and then I'll be all clear to head back home to Houston FTW!
