View Full Version : 03 WRX DIY Light Bar

I just got my light bar done this weekend and I think it came out really nice. I was looking to kind of replicate the RA Skid Plate guard and I am fairly impressed with how it came out. It is pretty sturdy but I think I may stiffen up my lower mounts with some small pieces of angle.Let me know what you think.

what do you have it bolted to under the car??

I will take some better pictures of the mounting soon.

I used a bolt through the hole on each corner of the subframe and another closer to the front.

not really. Are you talking about like what the bigger RI light bar has that goes against the license plate mount?

I have to say I am getting 4 Hella 500FFs and am going to be building my own light bar. I think with some modification to this design I could make it exactly what I want. I will keep checking for the pictures of below, would love to see where you mounted it too.

Finally got some mounting pics. Sorry for the poor cell phone quality. Also got them wired and a piece of angle iron welded on to stiffen it up. All good now!
