Marty post pics of your setup! Even though its just a backing light, he could do something similar. Home Depot special?

Mine is on the wrong side ... & its white . Its a meijer "tractor light" ( flood / work ) it was like 10$ ea ! ...
Very "euro" , tho ...
Check out the rear bumper on this little fiat 126, slightly modified ... the rear bumper has 2 lights on it, one white on the pass. side. ( back -up light ) ... and one red on the drivers side ( rear fog ) almosest every car is like that to this day . The tail lights only have runing lights , brake lights and turnsignals in them.

That Fiat is backwards! Must be totally confusing to see it in traffic.
I mounted a driving light under my rear bumper near the spare tire well. You can almost see it in this shot, in the top right hand corner. I'll get a better pic later.
I mounted a relay behind the plastic in the trunk, near the back of one of the taillights, and powered the relay with the 12 volts from the normal reverse light, and then ran a wire from the battery to power it. There's a rubber grommet in the spare tire area that I slipped the wires through, and sealed it with black RTV silicone. It really helps when I'm in reverse at night, especially since I have 20% tinted windows.
I'm sure you could do something similar for a rear fog light. There's a few options here too... http://www.rallylights.com/hella/backup.asp

Why do you need a light in the back?

He wants to go euro style!
Both of my saabs have had a rear fog light. I use it more to confuse people than its actual purpose. "Wait, does he have a brakelight out? wait now both are illuminated...now they're not. WTF?"
I do like the micro FF's. A lot.

I was wondering the same thing? why? Is it to keep people from hitting you in the fog?

Yep, that's what it's for. It's mostly a UKDM thing, since it's so foggy and rainy over there. Once in a while you'll notice a Land Rover or Saab or some other european car with the rear fog light on.
The arrow points to where the rear fog light is in EDM Impreza's. There's a reflector there instead on USDM and JDM models..

Did someone say " rallylights, has them. " Ooo...
The red rear fog on the driver side if so you do not get hit from behind. Its a brake light bulb "strength" rear light, visable from a further ...
Its also on the dr.s. so people know where the edge of your car is ...
Donno, why some landrovers and olds auroras and some A6's have 2, tho ...
The white rear light on my car is, so I can see where i'm going ... + also a warning for any corner workers, that may be real quick to run after the car. ( to pick up cones, I already ran over. ) its a little brigter than the little stock ones. ( read : visable from a greater distance. You guys see a "theme" ? )

i used to always have at least one on my wheelin rigs. you definatly use reverse a lot more wheelin then on rally but i do go up in the woods at night fairly often (nobody to worry about..hunters etc..) and if i did have to back up a fog light might not be that bad of an idea. really i got the most use out of it when in my truck and people rode my rear bumper id turn it on and they'd get the point. always good for a laugh

Hella makes a pendant style rear fog lamp PN: HL81102 which can be found here: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/backup.asp
Also, if you have a 2006/2007 model, you can wire the inner brake/park lamps to work as rear fogs. There's a short strand of wire coming off each inner socket that are not wired to anything and would be the high/brake lamp.
Here's mine w/LED bulbs:

I just "installed" the Hella 100's, AKA: HL 81102, on this. : o )
http://www.ohiovw.com/cars/gallery/tire%20boy-6472-martyjettacopy.jpg
& to keep this impreza related, you could install it like this, extra back-up / rev. light / run-corner-workers light : ( on this totally random wagon )
