I noticed that RA hasnt made any 08+ skidplates. Why not? Anyone know if the 08+ primitive plates will work for 2011s? I figure they will, but just want to make sure...

I don't see why the primitive plate wouldn't work. You can always email/call them and ask.

When I contacted RA they were backordered for like a billion months, so I went with the primitive plate and love it. and they sell diff protectors too :)

Been looking into these for my 2010 WRX. One question I have is that the stock plastic plate reaches up inside the wheel well on each side - it appears the metal skid plates don't. Did you try cutting the sides off your stock plastic piece to keep them inside the wheel well? I assume it's there to protect against gravel spray from the wheels.

yeah it is fine, from what I seen, it seems to be keeping just as much if not more out. Simply because there is less flex.

Does the rear skid plate become the new rear jack up point? (as the differential is the official jack point in the rear).

Yes. I always jack the car up from the rear diff (or diff skid plate).

Dunkin:
do you have a pic of the skid plate from the rear? Trying to see if it will clear my ugly EAT pan

Here's my skid plate! Me and my bro made it ourselves. 1/8 inch aluminum and held up great at the glen Helen RallyX! It's is about 7 feet long! Goes back all the way to where the front door meets the rear door. Best one out there guaranteed!
