A couple of things the forums could use.

The whatever it is that makes the pics show up as text before submitting is missing. When making a post, they show up as images and it's a bit of a pain to post a bunch.

Also. You got room for a gallery? I've got lots and lots and lots of pics to post up.

In the reply area, if you click the button that looks like this:

(a little A and a big A in a box.. doesn't show up too well on dark bg).

it switches to the mode where the images show up as the equivalent tags.

I'd just go for Flickr or Photobucket or whatever myself.. the logistics and bandwidth related to image hosting can be a PITA. OTOH it can bring traffic into the site.

Either way, it'd be cool to have a special button for photos like on USMB (even better if it was just a link you could set in your profile to wherever your pics are).

Sweet, found the A's, changed it.

I have access to a big gallery at the USMB, and also one at subaruoutback.org, and one on Webshots. . . etc. It would be cool to put some up that get a DI tag/atermark or whatever. What you said about traffic. ;)

We had a gallery, but its been down for some time, there were problems with the software. I agree, a forum gallery would be a good asset. I upload all my pictures to zoto.com, and i add dirtyimpreza.com tags to each of them

Gallery may come back later. We have plenty of storage and bandwidth, so I'm not too concerned about that ATM. I found that even when we did have a gallery, people opted to use flickr, photobucket, etc anyway! If we do re-instate it though, i would definitely want to watermark each shot with the DI logo.

For now if you need a gif file, you can use this one:

Its only good on images about 800px wide and smaller though, anything bigger and you'll need a better quality one. Ill have to make one.
