I am currently parting out my 04 wrx to start a project on a newer Subaru. I really wasn't in the market for an older project car until I came across...

... in the scic classifieds.

I fell in love immediatly. After a lot of teath grinding and a lot of waiting I FINALLY worked something out with gogogo(previous owner who is currently in japan)

I had the car towed from Diamondbar last Saturday night and these shots where taken the morning after...

The paint has discoloration and is chipping off in a few places. It definitly is getting a nice respray once it is running. Other then that and the blown motor everthing is in great shape.

Chapter 2:

I was planning on taking the jdm sti motor out to repair it but I have a spare crawford s2 block with spec c heads and it would have been fun to put that in.

I came to find that the engine harness was all a mess and because it has a jdm harness and jdm apexi stand alone ecu there is no way for me to get this thing wired up correctly.

After a lot of thought I decided to buy a usdm motor, harness, ecu, etc. etc.. etc...

I got my hands on a motor, harness and ecu, the fun begins!!!

I have been stripping the car over the last couple of days and pulled the motor out this morning.

Next steps are going to be cleaning up/organizing the harness', dropping the motor in, finding out what other parts I need.

I have a lot of work left, but it is all starting to fall into place. I will keep you updated!

Are you looking to sell some suspension and crossmembers off of your 04?
