So here's the plan, im building a custome catback, im using 2.25 in pipes and i have ordered a obx 2 ft long resonator, the resonator has a 3.75 id , will this cuase problems goning from a big pipe to a small pipe? What do people think about this?

Not sure what the question is... if the resonator has an inlet and outlet pipe diameter of 3.75, that is ridiculous. Personally, I would never go from a bigger diameter pipe to a smaller one in an exhaust system.

why not put the resonator way out backthen run the small pipe to it and a tip? going from big o small isn't bad but your not giong to get the true 3.75 inch performance

I'm hoping that you mean Inner Diameter by I.D. because a 3 3/4 inlet and oulet will be horrible for the car and wayyyy too larger. Considering that most cars with upgraded exhaust run 2 1/2 to 3. 3 3/4 would be a diesel exhaust, but yes it should be fine if you mean inner diameter of ther tube and not the in and outlets.
