Yeah no joke. We'll plan to make a trip to another pro rally. Rest assured. I want to go to more and more, and maybe you and I can get our foot in the door of rally

I offered to. He was looking for someone to navigate, and I happened to be in the right place at the right time. Happened to be at an awards banquet for our SCCA region. it also helps that he is my girlfriend's stepfather :D, and kreitz3 and I have rallyx'ed with him for the past year or so

Haha I love that picture!
Thats the father/son team, yes?

I saw them at LSPR '05, and when I heard that a 16 y/o was driving... I was struck with the strongest and purest jealousy ever.

What stages are you working? You won't by any chance be getting pictures/footage as well will you?

Yeah4me2

Yes I believe Kyle is 16 or so and drives with his dad, he rocks the subi now.
I am not sure what stages we are working yet, I asked to work either Jerry Schiloffs or Nick Enrights group.

as far as footage goes, I am taking my vid cam and camera. Its just a matter of what job I am doing on weather I can take footage.
My friend Nate who took the awesome pics which I posted in other threads will be taking some awesome shots I am sure.
We are staying in Gaylord at the Brentwood.

Well, I didn't have internet access, so I didn't keep in touch here. I could have paid 3$ for 30 minutes at an internet cafe...but I decided against it.

So Travis Pastrana and Christian Edstrom took the win overall, with Tanner Foust and Scott Crouch only 6 seconds behind him.
The entry list included 52 teams, but by the end of the second day, we were down to I believe 43 teams. A few teams had mechanical failures while others were damaged on stage, including at least one roll over(# 64), and one seized engine (1973 Porsche 911, lost oil during a transit to the next stage).

I didn't take these... but most are great action shots

Here are the pictures I was able to take... as I was driving/navigating.
Navigating was a blast. I was nervous at first, but I got the hang of how my driver wanted me to call out the route book. I was amazed at how good of a driver he was (pro rallyist in the 80's and early 90's). So I navigated all 7 stages on Friday. Saturday, I drove the first 7 stages, and then navigated for the last 3. Driving on pro rally stages... having spectators cheer you on, instructions being read to you, communicating with your driver/co-driver, reading the road and adjusting driving style on the fly.... it was all amazing. Having the chance to drive somewhat competitively in such adverse conditions... its just all something else. I have a new understanding and appreciation for what teams go through.

My Pictures (http://ilikeitsideways.zoto.com/galleries/snodrift2007)

Our course opening car: '02 WRX with uppipe/downpipe, catless, rebuilt/blueprinted turbo, and a rally computer. It was a blast to drive, to say the least. Full boost sets in around 2500 rpm.

Yeah that is a sweet picture of the white GC8

BTW, does K&N have two rallycars now? the pics above show a GC... but i published a Press Release a week or two ago that shows a newer 04 / 05 model?

I guess they do now... originally the 04/05 STi was built for the X-games and K&N decided to further their support of O’Sullivan and Putnam.
But they competed in the GC8 at Sno*drift... so I guess they have at least two cars
