Ok so I managed to install a new Street clutch kit and Streetlight Flywheel from ACT in my 2002 WRX sedan a lil ways back, and I will start by saying what an improvement. No more waiting for that extra second for your stock clutch to engage. I actually managed to kill my car a few times here and there trying to get used to how sudden and crisp the clutch feel and engagement was. If you have never driven with a race clutch before you are in for a real treat(after you get passed the car killing stage. ;) I didnt notice too much of a difference with the lightweight flywheel other than driving at slower speeds in fourth gear gave me a little more driveline noise. I also didnt throw the CEL single cylinder misfire light as some do with this upgrade. I also went ahead and added an STI stainless braided clutch hose while I was at it. You can actually feel a HUGE difference in the firmness and feel of your clutch pedal here so if your still running the stock clutch hose, Id highly recommend switching over to a braided one as you will definately notice a much more positive clutch feel when you press your clutch pedal. Bottom line is if you want to shave just a hair more off of your track times( with proper driving technique of course) or just want a much better and stronger clutch/flywheel than stock, this kit from ACT is rated to handle up to 411 lbs of torque and is a great choice for a light-to moderately modified street car!

Honestly I really didnt notice much if any difference...Im sure if you dyno'd it with just the flywheel you may see some gain in there but it seemed pretty negligable to me. Im not saying dont do the upgrade tho...theres a reason they make lightweight flywheels so they obviously improve on something...lol I just didnt clearly see it on my 02 wrx sedan
