so every time i go and play in the dirt i literaly breath in like 10lbs of dust even if i leave the windows up, i cant fig out where its coming in from :pissed:. with that where does it come into the cab from the firwall and is there a way to block it or what, my controls dont give the recirculate option to close the outside coming in vent so if anyone can help me try and fig out how to not breath in 10lbs of dust it would be much appriciated ;-)

oh btw its a 93 subaru impreza L 4 door

Set your a/c controls to max ac. Then turn everything off. That is recirculate. If your controls are like mine and dont work, then your screwed. You can try to figure out a way to close them manually, which is what I'm trying to do, but then you cant use defrosters or heater.

the controls work but i have no ac the compressor is kinda missing haha does that mean it will still work then to set it to ac and leave everything off?

blue tape over the vents at the bottom of the windshield have done the trick for me.

As long as the the controls function, it should. Putting it on max a/c should still close the vent from the out side.
Blue tape on the cowl sounds like a good idea too...

I saw a cabin air filter kit the other day and found it interesting... I had never heard of it.

it says it's only for 98-01 though. has anyone else tried this?

I usually just keep mine on recirc... it works decently well, I think most of the dust I get is from opening and closing my door.
