i think my radiator is either cracked or leaking just a little bit... but i am hoping its just i knocked a tube loose when i hit that sand. it hit kinda hard but did no damage to the bumper and didnt really move anything to much. i am still trying to figure out whats going on but the flash light we have is dead... i have no tools and i cant figure out how to take off bumper. i know i have to detach the top and bottom clips but it wouldnt budge even after i did that.

I'd try to track down the leak before removing the bumper cover. Check your water-pump hoses and radiator hoses first.

If you still need to remove your bumper cover, I replaced the bumper cover on my 9-2x a few weeks ago, so check out the visual aids below.

1. Remove the clips from the engine bay and along the bottom of the bumper cover. It sounds like you got these already.
2. A few inches in from the fender liner is a hidden clip along the top of the bumper cover (far right is the hole for this). This is a screw in type clip (from bottom). Good luck with this one, I ended up cutting mine out with wire snips. Replacements are under 2 bucks each at your local subaru dealer.

I found that this is the same clip that is used on my 97 impreza wagon rear bumper cover.

3. If you have fog lights, these will need to be unplugged.

4. Finally, there are some tabs that snap in under the headlights and around the side. Carefully remove the bumper from these tabs. You can see the side tabs in the first picture.

... at about 25k miles my lower radiator hose started leaking just slightly, enough that if you parked it warmed up on blacktop it would leave a 2inch puddle, just a thought... Hope its not the radiator bud!

good luck!

O and dunno if you did it yet, But you have to remove the grill, there are 5 clips under it shown in the last picture above...

Sub-T pretty much covered it regarding how to get the bumper off. Its just a series of clips, plastic plugs and a couple of bolts.

well i looked and went to my dads to put it on jacks... the good news is i didnt have to take off the bumper to see it. the bad is that there is a nother cooler in the way of the radiator. think its the condenser for the ac? the good news is also that we were able to see the leak. the bad news is that i found a pile of what we think is stop leak. so at somepoint the pervious owner or the dealership knew about the leak and put it in. the leak is comming from the bottom front center area. so now i need to see if its covered under warrenty or if i have to buy a new one. if any one knows where to get a 2.5i 2005 92x or impreza radiator for a non turbo model cheap let me know please :)
