Dependable?

Would a 96 OBS with 220k on it be dependable? If so how long could it last?
I've heard they have made it up to 300k before and were fine.

All depends on how it was treated. If the previous owners took good care of it, maintained it well, did good preventative maintenance, etc. then it will last forever.

If they just drove it and were not proactive about the maintenance, then it's a crap shoot. Good be a good car, could be a disaster waiting to happen.

If they beat on it, then it's probably on it's last legs already.

Best bet - take it to a Subaru Mechanic that you trust and have him (or her) take a good look at it. 15 minutes on a lift with someone that knows what they are looking at can keep you from making a big mistake.

might also be a good idea to find out who did the heads, and cam to see if it's a reputable shop and/or mechanic.

looks cool though. i've never seen a WRB obs before.
