I really want to paint my calipers whats the best brand of paint for them? i want to do it my self but avoid paints that flake easy or change color cause of heat. i think i want to do red to match my symectrical awd sticker and my rally armor stickers. plus red and black = Bad A$$
how do i take them off? do i have to drain my brake lines when i do this?

The first thing I would do.
Is attach a hose to one of the bleeder screws. Put the other end in a plasic bottle.
crack open the bleeder screw and push down on the brake pedal find something to keep the brake pedal down. The fluid will not keep leaking out once the pedal stays down.
there are four bolts to worry about on the front brakes. undo the first two on the brake caliper. keep track of which brake pad goes on which brake and which side of the rotors. this is important because of the wear on the rotors.
the next two that attach the bracket to the hub. depending on how much you want to paint you can pull this off or leave it on.
you put them back on in the same way.
you will need to bleed your brakes after this. start at the brake right rear brake, then left rear, front right, left front.
Paint: buy a caliper paint kit is the best way to go.

I have red paint on the red cars' calipers (the Corrado's I painted with cheap high temp paint years ago, Evo has scratched, peeling, muddy Brembos), and I bought a black kit for the Legacy cos red calipers would stick out like a sore thumb on a sleeper wagon IMO. I haven't done 'em yet, waiting for when I do the rotors/pads/ss lines next year some time. You can get the kits in Pep Boys or wherever, Duplicolor makes them - comes with cleaner, masking tape, paint and brush for about 15 bucks. Or there's that Foliatec stuff but it's much more expensive IIRC. If you'll be taking the calipers off then you could also just do 'em with the rattle can high-temp engine paint, but I dunno how that would last in a non-SoCal environment :)
If you do 'em red, it's very eye-catching with the right rims... get ready for people to stare at stop lights :D

You already did, it was step 2 ...
After that ^^^ method all you should need to do is pump the fluid back into the calipers, via the pedal. ( once everything is assembled. ) Then top off/up the fluid res.

Please pay attention to what areas you do not want paint ! Some stuff actually needs either lubed with silicone, or in some cases with shims, a litle anti seize does not hurt either. it will keep the corrosion from builing up under the shim and squeezing the pads onto one place , causing them to drag ... not-so-good
