I am wiring in a homemade intercooler water sprayer and I have two questions. First I have the switch which has three wires, one to the battery(with an inline fuse), one to a ground and one to the relay. The relay of course has one to the battery(with an inline fuse), one to the pump, one to a ground and one to the switch.
First question: As far as the power wire from switch and from relay that connect to battery…..Can I connect them into one wire that connects to positive side of battery? Basically I want to do this to reduce the connection terminals going into the positive battery post.
Second question: I originally wanted to connect power wire from switch to the ignition fuse so that it only had power when car was on, but I read that this isn’t advisable. So how could this be done correctly and safely so that the switch can only have power when car is on?
