Door Skins

has anybody ever done door skins?
i found an 00 RS for a REALLY good price, but the front fender, and driver side doors are crunched in. i was wondering if it's worth doing, or should i just replace the doors all together? it looks worse than it really is. LOL

Well for the fender certifit (www.certifit.com) carries them for $35, you just have to drive to San Diego for it.

i would recomend just finding some new doors... i found a pair (Front & Rear) 06 WRB Impreza doors for $200

yeah, the doors i think i should find, since the windows busted out from the crash

the worst part is the rear quarter panel damage. your gonna have to pull it and bondo or cut it out and replace it (cut, weld, grined, bondo, paint) thats what i have to do to mine if i wanna fix it.

Agreed. Fender and doors (and hood, by the looks of it) are a reasonably easy fix assuming the shell is straight, but the rear quarter is more of a pain. You could probably get it looking "straight enough" though, assuming this isn't gonna be a show car :D :D

If the REALLY good price includes the TE-37s, that could make it a hell of a bargain.

Doors are easy to swap out, literally just a few bolts and a pin. That front fender is easy to do as well. The rear 1/4 panel though is a different beast. I bet you could hammer a lot of that out, and still keep it on the cheap.

my friend hit a gaurd rail going around 80, kept it in his garage for the past 2 years where i've been picking at it for parts for my car, he finally bought the 2011 wrx, and agreed to sell it to me for 1k, YES 1k. as is with everything on it, i've done auto body work for about 4 years, and i know how much of a pain that qp is going to be, as for the doors, i was wondering what would be easier.. now i know..

does anybody have any doors they are looking to get rid of? LOL
