Last Saturday I decided on a whim to go on a roadtrip by myself down through Central Missouri, through Mark Twain National Forest, into Northern Arkansas, cut through the Ozarks, and head back up through Branson and Springfield to make it back home to Rolla. It was 13-hours of driving, covering over 600-miles, with just me, myself, my music, and my car. The scenery was stunning as the fall colors were in full bloom, and the weather also was beautiful. It was definitly one of the most relaxing things I have done in a long time.

I have now spent about 15-16 combined hours over the past few days editing this video to showcase what my trip was about. As well as to give you an idea about how awesome the roads are down in the area. It is a somewhat longer than your typical YouTube video (8.5 minutes), however the music and the sights should keep you interested. (I hope, haha)

Anyways, here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeYHePTRIIg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeYHePTRIIg)

I will have some photos I took of the trip up here soon enough as well.

No traffic. definitely looks more relaxing than driving out here. :)

Indeed, out of the 600 or so miles that I covered, I was stuck behind someone for only about 3 miles, but easily passed them on a straightaway and continued on.

Dude, nice video. Very peaceful. You may have just inspired me to take a road trip tomorrow. BTW, what program do you use to edit?

Thanks for the compliments. I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, though this video could have easily been edited in any base-level video editor as there weren't really many fancy editing tricks used. Just some nice visuals and good music. =D

Definitely a different video.... but unlike some videos... I sat through all 8 minutes and 33 seconds.. I am going to have to go out and grab that cd. Good Music and some very nice roads.

Just thought I would let you guys know that due to popular demand, a higher-quality video was rendered and hosted up on stage6.divx.com, here is the link:

Maybe now people can read the yellow sign that says "steep and crooked roads for the next 20 miles, drive with care". haha
