The group-n car ran as the zero car at the recent Rally Japan event on Oct 24th.
Also, they announced a group-n package car and parts are available for purchase.
Enjoy!

This car should be pretty good in 08. I am stoked to see the SYMS sticker on the back quarter :)

The STi version of the hatch looks good to me..seems to drive even better than it looks in the video. It's easy enough to change the tail lights and grille if that's an issue . The heart of that car seems to be working nice and strong. It sounded sweet when the engine wasn't drowned out by the music. Nice roostertails!:D Can't wait to drive one.
One thing that needs to be clarified is the rear suspension design on the STI cars. Double wishbone or Trailing arm/lateral link? The new STI rally cars were supposed to have lateral link/trailing arm, which is proven and effective on stage and off. The '08 WRX has the wishbone which is great for street/highway driving, not so good for gravel. Also, very exposed mounting points under the car, which with less travel (shorter strut), will get damaged faster on stage.
The car took a decent hop in the rear before the bridge in the Japan vid. The front was fine, the rear hit full compression and launched off the ground nearly catching the bumper. At the Europe test area it looked very smooth, not really working the suspension like rough stuff would.. from that aspect, it seems like wishbone.
How do you guys think that car would do at Gorman Ridge with double wishbone rear? Bent parts come to mind..But that place bend all kinds of cars with all different set ups. LOL
Really hoping for the best, or it will wind up getting swapped to the old style..:)

I really do like the new STi... my only problem is that I'm having a hard time associating Impreza with this new body style.
I'm also curious about the new geometry/setup... I haven't read much about it.

Group N is "Stock" so no sequential shift.
Anyone else see that Rally America no longer offers the Grp N Class.
